the photo was taken 2004 in copenhagen. it is very hard to reproduce here the brilliant colours of the original: the blue of the graphic painted on the door is almost neon-blue and extremely sharp in the original, and gives almost a surreal 3-dimensional feeling to the photo.

a latvian equivalent to the american ball perfect mason.
mostly 70s (some possibly 80s; they are not being produced anymore.

beautifully uneven, blueish-green glass.
each of the jars is kind of unique - the imprints on the bottom are different (see some of the examples below).
these jars are nice and functional home decorating objects - a beautiful storage system, or vases, or - whatever

einmachgläser aus lettland
ein lettischer equivalent zu deutschen weckgläsern.
die meisten stammen aus den 70ern (ein paar eventuell aus den 80ern); die gläser werden nicht mehr hergestellt.

das glas ist (bei den meisten) leicht grünlich und schön uneben.
jedes exemplar unterscheidet sich ein wenig - schon allein auf grund der prägung auf dem boden (ein paar beispiele unten in der bildreihe).
gebrauchsglasliebhaber werden in diesen gläsern gleich neue schöne wohnaccessoires erkennen, die z.b. als ein originelles aufbewahrungssystem oder vasen genutzt werden können.
